We Have Some Catching Up to Do!

Where on earth to begin?!?!?!? Let's start by talking about how this little cutie and her mother, my good friend Tasha moved in with us in December! I had the pleasure of waking up to this little chica during my break :)

We managed to paint one of the rooms downstairs, and turn it into a playroom!

And then we did Christmas pictures, with her in the dress she wore at my wedding :)

And then, we got a TON of SNOW!!!!! And it's still coming.

What better thing to do during a snowstorm than to clean up the house a little bit!

WE MET THE GRINCH!! Ariel's favorite Christmas Character.

Merry Christmas!

I'll admit, I was getting pretty sick of the snow for a while.... so I bought a pineapple to remind me of the beach.  Is that pushing it??

Velvet getting in the Christmas spirit!

Then, we got the Polar Vortex... It was FREEZING! Like, negative twenties and thirties freezing!! To stay warm, Tasha, Ariel, and I made a fort.  This is also the same day Alex went into the snowbank.... But he's okay, and no damage to the car from it! Only damage was from the deer he hit...

Princess day!

I caught up on a few books over the break... There WILL be a post about these amazing books!

Stay tuned for a lot more!!!!! :)

P.S. Did I mention I'm currently in love with John Wayne movies???

What a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!

***INSERT*** PREVIOUS POST HAS BEEN FIXED!! YOU CAN NOW SEE PICTURES! Let me know if you still have problems. :)

I hope you all had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving!!! There is SO much to be thankful for this year... Especially since I got married! :)
We had Alex's Parents, his Grandpa, my mom, and our friend over for dinner.  Everyone arrived at our house around 11 am, which was interesting because there were a few cooks in the kitchen, drinks going on in the dining room, and random spurts of the kitty and puppy running through the kitchen to try and steal some food, (specifically turkey for the cat). I also printed out a fun word search with the theme of Thanksgiving.  It was fun, and kept people occupied when Alex and I were working in the kitchen! We had so much food, and we have a TON of leftovers today!!!
This is what we made:

During dinner, it started to snow again, and by around midnight, there was nearly a foot on the ground just from Thanksgiving Day!
Let's see... What else has been going on this month??

Aunt Dorothy's birthday party, to find out we are going to have another little cousin next year!

Looks pretty good for 92 years old!!

The cat found a new hiding spot...

And then we started getting SNOW!! YAY!!
The beginnings of it...

The puppy decided he wanted to be more like the cat, so....

The day before Thanksgiving, I got another haircut!!! LOVE IT! What do you think?

And then tonight, since Alex is working until the wee hours of the morning, I decided to put up the Christmas Tree!!! I've been wanting to decorate for Christmas so bad, but I knew that I had to wait until after Thanksgiving.  Honestly, I don't really like seeing Christmas decorations on other people's houses or hearing Christmas music when I'm out shopping.  Let's get through Thanksgiving first before we start to work on Christmas!
ONE HOLIDAY AT A TIME PEOPLE!!!!

But for reals, Christmas is my favorite holiday!
(Post on Christmas later!)

And as a follow up from the last post, I did meet with my advisor to schedule next semester:

Now, all I have to get through is a few projects, 2 final exams within two weeks, and I'm on break until the end of January!!!
I decided on what I'll be doing during the break... that's going to be saved for another day though!!

Lately, I have been looking at other blogs, searching for some fun ones, and I came across so many wonderful people, my head could explode! Here are a few:
